Einas "Ben" Shakir is a main characters on Evil. He is portrayed by actor Aasif Mandvi.

Personality

Ben is a fairly easy-going person who mostly keeps to himself. He's highly intelligent as shown by his work on almost everything technology based and thinks outside of the box when searching for a solution. While he can be somewhat judgmental when it comes to cases of demonic possession due to him being even more of a skeptic than Kristen, Ben tries to keep this to himself so as not to unnecessarily offend people. He's good natured for the most part and is willing to drop what he's doing into order to help others.

Appearance

Ben is a man of average height and of Indian descent. He's got short black hair and brown eyes. He has a much more relaxed dress sense compared to his colleagues so is normally seen in jeans and t-shirts rather than suits.

Occupation

He works along side David Acosta as his technical and construction expert. It's Ben's job to asses if there any electronic or possibly environmental causes that could be attributed to the claims of demonic possession.

Character Biography

Ben worked as a contractor at the rectory when David Acosta came across him and asked him to help with his cases, Ben has been working with David ever since. During "Genesis 1" it is Ben who figures out that the strange whispering noises that Emily LeRoux overheard and thought to be demonic whispering was actually the dishwasher though she doesn't seem overly pleased by his discovery; an outcome Ben is begrudgingly used to.
